The Detroit Lions’ franchise-record 11-game winning streak ended this past Sunday when they lost to the Buffalo Bills.
This week, they will look to start a new one when they take on the Chicago Bears.
It has been an incredible year for the Lions as they continue to navigate tricky waters while having an IR list longer than Santa’s naughty or nice list, and fittingly, one Lions player revealed what he would get his head coach, Dan Campbell, for Christmas this year to celebrate the incredible year the team is having.
In a recent appearance on “Up & Adams” with Kay Adams, running back Jahmyr Gibbs said he’d like to get his coach a dog bone for Christmas, specifically noting that his coach deserves a “big a** bone” because “he’s a dog.”

It’s a fitting gift, as Campbell has won over not only the city and his locker room but the football world in general thanks to his old-school, aggressive approach and everyman relatability.
His grit and personality can be felt throughout this roster, and it’s obvious through examples like Gibbs lighting up when he discusses his coach.
He’s the kind of coach you’d be willing to run through a brick wall for.
His roster is full of dogs looking to bring this city its first Super Bowl as a delayed Christmas gift.
Gibbs is in line for a much bigger role in the offense now that David Montgomery is out for the year with an MCL injury, so hopefully, that dog in him is ready to eat.
