The Detroit Lions are limping to the finish line.
Once considered the best team in the NFC, that might no longer be the case with Dan Campbell’s team.
The Lions have suffered a myriad of injuries lately, and while most people will focus on David Montgomery, for good reasons, their defense is severely banged up right now.
That’s why former NFL player Harry Douglas believes they’re “done” right now.
Douglas argued on his “Freddie and Harry” show on ESPN Radio that the Lions cannot overcome this string of injuries.

Star defensive end Aidan Hutchinson recently said that he expects to return to the field for the Super Bowl, and that would obviously be a massive injury boost for this team.
Then again, they need to get to that game first.
The Lions have two divisional games and a playoff rematch with the San Francisco 49ers up next.
While they are expected to win all of those games based on their overall performance, their defense has shown some vulnerabilities recently.
More than that, they cannot take their foot off the gas, as the Philadelphia Eagles also aim for that No. 1 seed in the conference.
The Lions have dominated their opposition for most of the year, and it would be a shame to see such an impressive season go to waste.
Unfortunately, staying healthy is also a big part of the equation, and while you cannot always control that, the Lions have been very unfortunate in that regard.
