Ever since Dak Prescott took the starting job from Tony Romo, the Dallas Cowboys have been a relevant team in the NFL, with an exciting quarterback under center, but the team has failed to live up to expectations time and time again.
Although there’s no doubting Prescott’s talent, he hasn’t been able to get the job done and has been given a lot of chances by the team and longtime owner Jerry Jones.
Coming into the 2023 NFL season, the pressure will be on once again for Prescott and the Cowboys, with Dallas having possibly the best all-around team in the league.
However, something interesting has come to the surface with the start of the NFL preseason right around the corner and training camp well underway, as Trevon Diggs was caught viciously trash-talking his quarterback, which led to quite a reaction from former NFL star LeSean McCay on “Speak” on FS1.
.@CutOnDime25: Trevon Diggs trash-talking Dak shows they don't respect him. 👀
"I played with Michael Vick, played with Tom Brady, played with Josh Allen, played with Patrick Mahomes, nobody on the team would even fix they lips to say something like that to the quarterback." pic.twitter.com/iVSF2xFaQE

As he pointed out, McCoy has been around and played with some of the best quarterbacks in the league during his time as a player in the NFL, and not once did he see a teammate go off on a franchise quarterback like that.
That’s a pretty telling sign that Prescott might be coming to the end of his time as the starter for the Cowboys because if he loses the locker room while failing to live up to expectations this season, Jones and company might have officially had enough and may look for the next star player to bring in under center.
