The Los Angeles Lakers have a lot of work to do.
Over the last few months, the team has been soul searching following a humiliating season that resulted in them missing the playoffs entirely.
This is a team that has won more championships than any other, a team that features two of the biggest names in the league, and a team that won its last Finals just a few seasons ago.
Obviously, the results of last season weren’t going to stand.

No one denies that the team’s biggest star is LeBron James, one of the greatest basketball players of all time.
James is well aware of his role on the squad and is taking his offseason seriously.
He was spotted recently working out in the gym, hitting shots, and getting in the right head space for the upcoming season.
James will need to keep performing at unparalleled levels if he hopes to get the Lakers back on track.
But he cannot do it alone.
LeBron’s Lakers
There is nothing wrong with James being the best man on the squad.
In fact, anything less than that just doesn’t make sense.
But the Lakers desperately need the rest of the crew to perform with the same sort of enthusiasm and efficiency as James.
There are some very talented players on the squad but the team hasn’t been performing like an actual unit.
James has been phenomenal, of course, but that isn’t enough.
Until all of the pieces on the Lakers come together, fit, and work like a well-oiled machine, the Lakers will continue to have serious problems.
It’s good to see James working hard and getting ready for what’s ahead.
But the problems with LA won’t be solved by simply working out.
