The upcoming NBA season is going to be very intense between the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers.
For years now, a rivalry has been brewing between the two teams.
It’s only been made worse by the fact that they share a city and even share an arena.
There is no love lost between fans of the Lakers and Clippers.
Yahoo Sources: Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers will square off on following dates for 2022-23 NBA season:
Oct. 20 on TNT (Lakers home)
Nov. 9 on ESPN (Clippers home)
Jan. 24 on TNT (Lakers home)
April 5 on ESPN (Clippers home)— Chris Haynes (@ChrisBHaynes) August 16, 2022
Now we know when these two squads will face off in the 2022-23 season.
The two will meet on October 20, with the Lakers playing at home.
Then on November 9, the Lakers and Clippers will duke it out again, with the Clippers claiming home-court advantage.
On both January 24 and April 5, both teams will meet again.
You can expect a lot of fireworks and high tension for each of these games – but is one team the odds-on favorite to win it all?
Lakers Vs Clippers
There is no doubt that the Clippers are poised to win these games.
The Clippers were better than the Lakers last season, even without Kawhi Leonard and John Wall.
However, now the team will have both of those guys healthy and ready to play – and Paul George will also be in better shape than he was last year.
So even with LeBron James and Anthony Davis on board, the Lakers will be facing tough competition from their southland rivals.
But no one should count the Lakers out entirely.
The team could still land Kyrie Irving, trade away Russell Westbrook, and really improve their lineup.
Additionally, new head coach Darvin Ham might figure out how to make this group of athletes work, even if Westbrook is still on board.
The bottom line is that these games are going to be wild.
