The Los Angeles Lakers have been treated to front row seats to greatness as they watched LeBron James reach another career milestone.
In the Lakers’ loss to the Denver Nuggets, James became the first player in NBA history to score 40,000 career points.
James was already the NBA’s all-time leading scorer but now reaches heights that no player has ever been before.
Los Angeles has a history of attractive movie-like scenarios, and James has been happy to oblige and give them performance after performance.
James hasn’t been the only player chasing scoring immortality as Iowa’s Caitlin Clark has been the hottest name in NCAA basketball.
Clark recently scored 35 points against Ohio State to become the NCAA’s all-time Division 1 leading scorer and James shouted her out via his personal Twitter account.
“CONGRATS @CaitlinClark22 on becoming the All-Time leading scorer!!” James tweeted.
CONGRATS @CaitlinClark22 on becoming the All-Time leading scorer!! 🪣🪣🪣🪣🪣🪣🪣🪣🪣🪣🪣🪣🪣. 🙏🏾🫡👑

It’s only fitting that James included numerous bucket emojis because Clark knows how to score.
Her game is arguably the most electrifying in the collegiate ranks as she’ll shoot from anywhere on the floor or find a creative way to get the basketball to a teammate.
Clark’s already declared she will enter the upcoming 2024 WNBA Draft and she’s a lock to be taken first overall by the Indiana Fever.
James can certainly appreciate what Clark’s doing as she’s one of the few people who can relate to him in regards to scoring records.
Basketball fans have been fortunate enough to see both James and Clark accomplish history in the same week and it’ll be fun to see how much they can add to their respective records.
