The Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James aren’t having the easiest season.
Their year has been plagued by tough competition, lackluster performances from certain players, and a myriad of injuries.
James himself has been set back by a few physical mishaps since the season began.
In fact, he is currently nursing an injured knee which has taken him out of a few games although he has been playing through it.
Update on LeBron’s knee
—Won’t be fully 100% until off season
—Feels it’s similar to his high ankle sprainSwelling is a symptom not a diagnosis. Key is what’s the REAL issue?

He gave an update on the knee issue, saying that it won’t be fully 100 percent better until he has time to rest.
Speaking to the press, James said:
“It’s the same as my ankle. When I had the high ankle sprain last year. I think it was last year. The only way it’ll be back to full strength is rest, and I don’t have the luxury of having rest.”
This is definitely worrisome news for any Lakers fan.
Losing LeBron Again?
The idea of James being out for more games is a nightmare for the Lakers.
They are barely hanging on right now and are struggling just to make it into the postseason.
In a season filled with inconsistency, he has been the one bright spot: averaging an incredible 29 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists a game.
Without James, the team is a total mess: they are 6-11 when he sits out.
If James’ knee injury does indeed get worse and he has to sit out more games, the Lakers can pretty much throw in the towel for this season – he is that important to the team right now.
He’s absolutely right when he says he doesn’t have the luxury of resting because if LA wants any chance of making it into the postseason, they need James leading the way every night.
