For weeks now, there has been talk of the Los Angeles Lakers firing head coach Frank Vogel.
It has all come to head on Monday, as news leaked that the Lakers plan on firing Vogel before the day is done.
This puts an end to a roller-coaster tenure for Vogel, who saw the highest highs and the lowest lows.
However, he leaves the team with the respect of many, including LeBron James.
LeBron James: "I respect Frank as a coach and as a man … He's a man who gives everything to the game … At the end of the day I don't know what's going to happen with Frank and him being here, but I have nothing but respect for him"

James spoke with the media on Monday and touched upon Vogel and his work ethic and time with the team.
The LA superstar said, “I respect Frank as a coach and as a man. He’s a man who gives everything to the game. At the end of the day I don’t know what’s going to happen with Frank and him being here, but I have nothing but respect for him.”
It’s great to hear that James still cares so much for Vogel but he’s wrong about one thing: he definitely knows what is going to happen with him.
Onto The Next
Vogel’s firing is the worst-kept secret in the NBA and everyone knew it was coming.
In fact, the search for a new Lakers head coach has already begun before Vogel has even finished filling his packing boxes.
There are many names currently attached to the position, including Doc Rivers, Quin Snyder, Juwan Howard, Nick Nurse, and more.
The good news for Vogel is that his time in the NBA isn’t over.
No one can deny the success that Vogel found with the Lakers.
It was just a couple of seasons ago that the team went all the way and won the NBA Finals.
Sure, things ended on a sour note but there was a lot to celebrate about Vogel’s time in LA.
There is no doubt he will find more work within the association, it just won’t be with the Lakers.
