The Charlotte Hornets selected LaMelo Ball with the third overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.
Many believed that Ball had the potential to become one of the best players in the NBA, but it was only a matter of when he breaks out as a legitimate star.
While Ball was having a great season last season, he was sidelined due to an injury after playing just 36 games during the regular season.
This season, Ball is seemingly playing with a chip on his shoulder, and he’s proving his doubters wrong with excellent numbers.
So much so that Ball has four 30-point games in his last five appearances, and the young stud shared his views on his recent stretch of games via ClutchPoints on Twitter.
“Feeling a little more healthy, games under my belt,” Ball said.
"Feeling a little more healthy, games under my belt. I ain't do no like FIBA, overseas, none of that stuff. I ain't played in a minute. Games finally got there and I'm feeling better now."

So far in the 2023-24 NBA season, Ball has played 13 games and has averaged 25.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 8.3 assists per game for the Hornets.
These are undoubtedly NBA All-Star-level numbers, and if he can continue playing at this level, Ball may play in the glorious event later this season.
While Ball is having a phenomenal season from an individual basketball player’s perspective, his team is still terrible.
As of now, the Hornets have a terrible 4-9 record, as they are the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference.
In fact, over the last five games, the Hornets have a terrible 1-4 record, despite Ball scoring 30 points in four of those games.
