Throughout the 2022-23 season, LaMelo Ball of the Charlotte Hornets has been restricted to just 32 games because of ankle injuries that have kept him on the sidelines.
But he has played in the last ten games and has been looking pretty great for most of them.
On Monday night, he was looking downright sensational.

Ball went off against the Atlanta Hawks, scoring 30 points and 15 assists in a big win.
This incredible night from Ball snapped a seven-game losing streak for his squad.
He also broke a few records for the franchise: he now has the most consecutive games with a three-pointer and is the youngest player in league history to have a three-point streak of at least 35 games.
Ball is also now the first Hornets athlete with a 30-point, 15-assist game.
The young guard is having another strong season, averaging 23.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 8.4 assists on 40.9% from the field.
He is once again proving why he is one of the most exciting players in the game, despite the fact that he is injury-prone.
But the Hornets are still struggling.
Their seven-game losing streak is over yet the team is still 14th in the East with a 16-43 record.
Fans are happy to see Ball perform the way that he is but they wish he was doing so for a team that actually had a chance at the playoffs.
The Hornets will have to take a good, hard look at the roster in the offseason and decide what they need to do in order to be competitive next season.
They have a star player who is breaking franchise records but they don’t have much to show for it.
