Most people have written off the Charlotte Hornets for the 2022-23 season.
The team is the 14th in the East with a 15-36 record, ahead of only the Detroit Pistons.
That means that unless something wild happens, the chances of them making the playoffs are all but gone.
But there have been some surprising and exciting moments from the team lately.
For the second time in a few weeks, the Hornets have won two games back-to-back.

On Sunday night, they surprised fans when they took down the Miami Heat, 122-117.
This was mostly due to the hard work of Terry Rozier (31 points), P.J. Washington (27 points), and Gordon Hayward (20 points).
But LaMelo Ball was also very productive, especially toward the end of the game.
In fact, Ball scored 13 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter of the game.
In total, he was good for those 19 points as well as 7 rebounds and 7 assists.
This was Ball’s second game back after three absences in a row.
All season long, Ball’s time on the court has not been consistent and he has only appeared in 24 games so far.
But during that time, he has been putting up some of the best numbers of his career: 23 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 8.2 assists.
If Ball can stay healthy and the team can keep playing as they did during the last two matches, they could possibly make the play-in tournament again and have a run at the playoffs.
However, the front office might already be considering some big alterations, like trading away players such as Mason Plumlee and Terry Rozier.
As for Ball, they will cling tightly to him as they still see him as the future of the team.
Sunday night’s strong final quarter is a reminder of why.
