Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson knows that he must bounce back from a disappointing 2021 season.
He started the campaign strongly, leading the Ravens to an 8-3 record.
Unfortunately, his year ended abruptly due to an ankle injury.
Worst yet, the Ravens closed out the season on a six-game losing streak, forcing them to miss the playoffs with an 8-9 record.
It was the first time during Jackson’s NFL career that Baltimore missed the postseason.
Coming into 2022, the hungry and healthy former league MVP will offer every ounce of his skill to lead the Ravens to victory.
But before the season starts, he is already hyping up the team’s fans with this short video.
“I hope you’re ready for the season.” 😈@Lj_era8 is back❗️ pic.twitter.com/kzq9yEg8uL

The Ravens’ official Twitter account posted a video of Jackson speaking from the team’s indoor practice facility.
He said, “What’s going on, guys? Back at the king’s castle. I hope you’re ready for the season because I’m surely is. Let’s do it! Flock nation, baby.”
If that doesn’t fire up Ravens fans, nothing will.
It’s their leader essentially inviting them to support them once again.
They need all the cheers after the setback they experienced in 2021.
Still No Word Regarding Jackson’s Contract Extension
It looks like the ankle injury is a thing of the past for Jackson.
Therefore, he can possibly have another 1,000-yard rushing season while playing under his fifth-year option.
However, it would be better if both parties will agree to an extension before the season starts.
Jackson has no agent, which should make it easier to bring him to the negotiating table.
The prevailing rates of the quarterback market will have an effect on his deal.
Being a former MVP also adds to his leverage to get the amount he wants.
