The Los Angeles Lakers have high expectations heading into the 2023-24 NBA season after the team made some brilliant moves during the offseason to keep the team relatively intact while adding key pieces to the roster.
One of those key pieces added to the Lakers roster over the offseason was veteran big Christian Wood, who had been courted by the team all summer long and only recently chose to sign with the storied franchise.
Although many thought Wood would demand a big contract this summer, the Lakers were able to bring him in on the cheap and, as a result, have made their roster one of the deepest, if not the deepest, in the league to start the season.
On Tuesday, after the team got a win over the Brooklyn Nets in Las Vegas in the preseason, the Lakers got back to work on the practice floor, with Anthony Davis and Wood taking turns draining three-pointers, via the team’s Twitter account.

One thing that head coach Darvin Ham wants to do during the upcoming regular season is make this squad an elite team shooting from beyond the arc.
During the first two preseason games, the Lakers have been hitting a lot of three-pointers, with Davis showing improvement and other players like D’Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves connecting from deep regularly.
It’ll be interesting to see if the Lakers can improve from deep this season and whether that proves to be a game-changer for Los Angeles as the team tries to hang an 18th championship banner at Crypto.com Arena.
