Kyrie Irving is a member of the Dallas Mavericks and he is adamant that he’s not going anywhere.
ClutchPoints shared a video of Irving meeting and having conversations with young fans.
One of those fans asked what many other people are wondering: “Are you going to the Lakers?”
Irving’s response seemed both a bit shocked and maybe a little frustrated: “No, bro. No, bro.”
He then had the young man asked the question again to Irving’s camera before the guard again repeated that he’s a Mavericks player now.
That’s a pretty definitive answer.

You can understand why the fan would ask Irving that.
For more than a year now, there have been rumors that Irving’s ideal final destination is the Los Angeles Lakers with his old friend and teammate LeBron James.
In fact, when Irving demanded a trade from the Brooklyn Nets in the middle of last season, inside reporting said he had made it clear that he wanted to head to LA.
It was a bit of a shock when the Nets instead elected to ship him out to the Mavericks.
There were numerous people who assumed that Dallas was just a brief detour before Irving would eventually get his wish and continue west to the Lakers.
But a couple of things happened after that.
Firstly, the Mavericks extended Irving and gave him a lot of money, insisting that he is part of the team’s future.
Meanwhile, the Lakers became very satisfied with their roster and their young players on the rise.
They no longer had a need for Irving.
So, now the chances of Irving ever playing for the Lakers seem smaller than ever.
But that won’t stop people from still asking about it.
