We all have a favorite time of the year: some of us love the winter, others enjoy the spring.
It appears Philadelphia Phillies star Kyle Schwarber likes that smooth transition from the spring to the summer, when the weather starts warming up a bit.
In other words, Schwarber absolutely loves June.
Why?
It is, historically, his most productive month.
“Through the 3rd inning today, Kyle Schwarber has hit 47 homers in 457 career June at-bats (one every 9.7 at-bats). That’s the best home run ratio in the month of June in MLB history, ahead of Babe Ruth. He’s hit 28 home runs over the last 2 months of June,” ESPN Stats & Info tweeted about the slugger.

47 home runs in 457 at-bats is an incredibly high output.
In June, at least in the power department, he has been better than Ruth.
That’s a lot, don’t you think?
The Phillies Will Need Schwarber To Think It’s Still June
This June, Schwarber was on fire, hitting homers left and right.
Last June was the same thing: in a Washington Nationals uniform, he hit an incredible number of long-balls in June before getting hurt and, eventually, being traded to the Boston Red Sox.
There is something about the month that Schwarber enjoys.
The slugger will be tasked with keeping up the good form, because the Phillies just lost their best player, Bryce Harper, with a thumb fracture.
They will need all the production they can get from Schwarber, Nick Castellanos, Jean Segura, Rhys Hoskins, Alec Bohm, J.T. Realmuto, and others.
If they want to make the postseason, they will need June Schwarber in July and August, too.
For the season, the lefty masher is slashing .217/.338/.511 with 19 home runs and 45 RBI.
