June was a great month of baseball for several teams and several notable players.
We all know about what Shohei Ohtani was able to do for the Los Angeles Angels.
But Shohei wasn’t the only one to put up great numbers in the month of June.
As we enter July, it’s time to look back and see what Kyle Schwarber did for the Philadelphia Phillies in the month of June.
He led the way as the Phils went from obscurity back to contention again.
StatMuse posted a tweet that featured all of Schwarber’s stats from the month of June and what he did in that 27-game period.
A historic month for Kyle Schwarber:

He Is On Fire
Few were hotter than Schwarber was this past month.
But we have to appreciate those stats.
In 27 games, he had 28 hits, drew 19 walks, hit 12 home runs, drove in 27 runs, and scored 27 runs of his own.
These are some crazy stats from the Phillies slugger.
With Bryce Harper out, Schwarber is going to be relied on heavily as the Phillies look to keep pace with the other teams in the postseason chase.
For the season, Schwarber is hitting just .217, but has already hit 23 home runs and driven in 50 runs, with an OPS of .849 in 276 at-bats.
He has been one of the key contributors for this Philadelphia ballclub that has come back from being several games below the .500 mark and now is going to be without their star in Harper for some time.
July has come and Schwarber will look to stay hot as the Phillies prepare for a long stretch without Harper’s services.
We’ll see if he can replicate his June numbers and continue to carry the Phillies as the pennant races finally start to heat up.
