Jalen Brunson hasn’t been with the New York Knicks for very long but he’s already become very close with his teammates.
We have seen that on the court during a few preseason games, with Brunson working seamlessly alongside the rest of his squad.
But when he talks about other players on the team, Brunson’s true affinity for his peers becomes even more apparent.
"He can be quiet, but when he talks, everyone listens"

Brunson recently opened up about Derrick Rose, the former MVP who now calls New York his home.
The former Dallas Mavericks star noted that Rose might not be very loud but, “when he talks, everyone listens.”
He went on to explain what a good guy Rose is and the sort of impact he had on Brunson when he was a young kid in Chicago and Rose was leading the Bulls.
Brunson isn’t the first one to praise Rose.
What will both of these players do for New York this year?
What Brunson Brings
Fans of the Knicks expect Brunson to become the team’s premier guard and a team leader instantly.
If that is to become true, he can learn a few lessons from Rose, who has repeatedly shown he has leadership skills at every NBA city he’s played in.
As for Rose, he will not play nearly as many minutes as he once did but he could be a crucial part of the team’s success.
He has lost weight, become more physically fit, and says he is healthier than he has been in a long time.
He won’t be starting many games but he can still have a strong leadership role for this new-look Knicks.
Both Brunson and Rose have a lot of unique, specific things they can bring to the team.
