The Washington Commanders have had one of their best seasons in recent history.
Their offense, anchored by Jayden Daniels and Brian Robinson Jr., has been one of the most entertaining to watch.
That makes Kliff Kingsbury a potential head coaching candidate for this offseason.
He has some previous experience at both the collegiate and professional levels, not to mention strong ties to Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams, who he coached at USC.
With that in mind, he was brutally honest when asked whether he wanted to be a head coach again, stating that he would love to do that at some point in the future (via Nicki Jhabvala).

Of course, he didn’t answer the question right away, knowing he still needs to close out the season.
However, given his ties to Williams, it would be naive to think he would not be considered for the Bears’ coaching vacancy.
Kingsbury often drew criticism for his ‘college-like’ offense, but it worked well in the nation’s capital.
He was also criticized for his teams’ tendency to falter in the second half of the season after a strong start, which happened again this season.
Whatever the case, given his experience, it’s hard to envision him ever getting the nod to be a head coach again in the future.
This story does not yet indicate whether that will happen as early as next season or later.
