Klay Thompson is getting ready for his first season with the Dallas Mavericks.
He wants to deliver for the Mavericks and is expecting big things from himself.
According to NBACelebsUpdate on X, Thompson recently posted an image on social media of the studying he’s doing.
The image shows that Thompson was recently watching a YouTube video called “2011 Dallas Mavericks Road to The NBA Finals.”
Included with the image is an emoji of a notepad and pencil, suggesting that Thompson is taking notes.

Thompson and the rest of the Mavericks definitely want to copy the success the team had back in 2011 when they last claimed the NBA championship.
They made it all the way to the Finals last season but just didn’t have what it took to stop the Boston Celtics.
Can the addition of Thompson make them more competitive in the season ahead?
He believes so and is ready to prove it.
Thompson was definitely in a rough patch last season with the Golden State Warriors and many fans were disappointed by his diminished shooting abilities.
But Thompson doesn’t think he’s going to stay in that state for much longer and there is a chance that this change of scenery will help him find his shot again.
This image proves Thompson is in the right mindset, eager to get started and hoping to deliver a lot to his new team.
The Mavericks were already a great team but they could get even better if Thompson looks like his regular self in 2024-25.
Right now, he’s prepping and making plans but in a few weeks, it’ll be time for Thompson to show what he can do.
