There aren’t many teams like the Golden State Warriors.
Obviously, the team is one of the greatest of all time and they are now looking to claim back-to-back Finals victories.
There are so many great things that make the Warriors strong, from their patented play-style to their coaching staff and, of course, the players on the roster.
Most Points in a Quarter without missing a shot:

One of those players, Klay Thompson, holds a very special honor among NBA players.
He has the most points in a quarter without missing a shot with 37, going 13-for-13 from the field.
While Kobe Bryant is second behind Thompson (30 points on 9-of-9 shots), Thompson’s teammate Stephen Curry takes the third and fourth places on the list with 25 points twice (9-of-9 and 8-of-8).
This once again reminds NBA fans of a truth: it’s really hard to stop the Warriors once they get going.
Thompson’s Year Ahead
Thompson’s 37 points in a quarter were from several seasons ago before he suffered a couple of serious injuries that kept him off the court for a few years.
2021-22 was his first season back and he was attempting to make up for lost time.
Thompson became a vital part of the team’s success, especially in the playoffs, but he was still shaking some of the rust off through the remainder of the season.
In the months since, Thompson has been hitting the gym, perfecting his shot, and preparing for his first full season in years.
The fact that Thompson will likely be at 100% when the new season kicks off only gives the Warriors a better chance at doing something that so few teams have: winning back-to-back championships.
If anyone can do it, it’s the Warriors.
In fact, they are one of the only teams that have done it before.
