It is stunning to think that Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors has been playing in the league for 13 years now.
It’s striking because it feels like he got started just yesterday but it’s also amazing because it is clear that the man has quite a few incredible seasons left in him.
No one would be shocked if Curry returns to the Finals a few more times before retiring.

You can judge the amount of time Curry has spent in the NBA by the number of trophies he’s won and the honors he’s received.
But you can also get a good idea of how long he’s been playing professional basketball by comparing his first appearance in an NBA 2K video game to his latest.
When you look at the virtual Curry of yesteryear against the Curry we saw in this year’s edition of the game, you see that a lot has changed.
This doesn’t even look like the same person.
Computerized Curry
When Curry first entered the NBA back in 2009, he was just 21 years old and video game technology wasn’t anything like it is today.
That’s why it’s not shocking to see such a rudimentary take on the eight-time All-Star.
In his first few years, Curry was scoring double digits but wasn’t yet a household name.
That means that many 2K fans probably didn’t choose to play as Curry back then.
Nowadays, he’s not only one of the biggest stars in the league but he’s certainly one of the most important players in the video game too.
It’s hard to imagine that the video game version of Curry could look any more authentic in the years ahead.
However, perhaps the virtual Curry can surpass expectations just like the real one.
