The first-round playoff series between the Sacramento Kings and the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors has come down to a crucial Game 6 at the Chase Center, where Stephen Curry and company have the opportunity to advance with a win on Friday night.
This series has gone back and forth, with the home team coming out on top until Game 5, when the Warriors were able to get the best of the Kings at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.
With the series on the line in Game 6 in San Francisco, one star player might have a big night, with sharpshooter Klay Thompson thriving in Game 6 situations in the NBA playoffs.
According to ESPN Stats & Info, Thompson takes his game to another level in Game 6’s, especially from beyond the arc.
Klay Thompson has played in 8 Game 6's since 2016.
Over that span, he's averaging 26.1 PPG on 52% 3-pt FG. The Warriors are 6-2 in those games, and will look for win #7 Friday vs the Kings. pic.twitter.com/rVQaoMQ22v

With the Kings proving to be a formidable opponent, the defending champions will want to end this series tonight to avoid the series going back to Sacramento for Game 7.
Golden State will need solid performances from Thompson and Curry to come out on top against this better-than-expected Sacramento squad led by De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis.
The Warriors hosting the Kings is one of two potential series-clinching games set to be played on Friday night, with the Los Angeles Lakers hosting the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 6 of their series.
It’s very possible that the second-round playoff series matchup for these teams will be set tonight, with the Warriors and Lakers in the driver’s seat with three wins apiece in their respective series.
