Everyone was watching the NBA Draft on Thursday, including Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets apparently.

As the choices came in fast and furiously, it became apparent that a certain type of player was being valued more than others.

Wing players are vital for success in the NBA right now.

These are the types of players who are able to guard multiple positions and also employ perimeter skills, guarding, and shooting a lot during each game.

That was the exact sort of athlete who was getting a lot of attention from teams during the draft and Durant was very aware of that.

It’s a wings league…

— Kevin Durant (@KDTrey5) June 24, 2022

On Twitter, Durant summed it up perfectly, saying, “It’s a wings league…”

He should know since he’s considered one of the best ones in the NBA right now.

Durant’s Future

While Durant was making comments about the latest recruits for the league, countless reporters, fans, and analysts were wondering about what is next for the superstar.

Once again, his name is part of some heated speculation.

It’s become obvious that Kyrie Irving‘s time with the Nets may be coming to an end so where does that leave Durant?

The latest rumors say he is evaluating his situation with the team and is contemplating his options and next steps.

That means that Durant, one of the best wing players alive, could be soon on the market.

If that happens, you can expect an all-out pursuit of him from just about every single team in the association.

Anyone who lands Durant immediately ups their chances of making the Finals.

However, will he stick it out with Brooklyn for a while longer even without Irving?

That’s exactly what Brooklyn fans are hoping.
