After making easy work of the Miami Heat in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, the top-seeded Denver Nuggets came out flat in Game 2 on their home floor at Ball Arena and, as a result, missed an opportunity to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the series.
The Finals will now shift to the Kayesa Center in Miami for Game 3 and Game 4, with the team confident they can bounce back and take the series lead on the road.
Nuggets guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope spoke to the media on Tuesday ahead of Game 3, which will be played on Wednesday in Miami, and believes his team played horribly last game but is optimistic because they still almost won the game, according to Clutch Points via NBA Central.

At this point, no one doubts that the Nuggets are the better team in this series, with many people still picking Jokic and company to come out on top when it is all said and done.
However, the Heat showed its patented resiliency in Game 2, resulting in a much-needed win on the road in one of the most challenging places to play in the NBA.
Miami proved the team isn’t going down without a fight and showed the true grit that has fueled them as the underdog throughout the entire NBA playoffs thus far.
The real question is whether Jimmy Butler and company can keep that energy going while in Miami, as the team has an ideal opportunity to take control of this series while playing on their home floor in the next two games.
