The Cleveland Cavaliers were one of the most surprising teams in the NBA last season.
They shocked the world by proving to be way ahead of schedule in their rebuild, looking like a legit playoff team for most of the season despite their lack of experience.
Notably, they doubled down and became even better this season, trading for Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell to pair him in the backcourt with Darius Garland.
It didn’t take long before Mitchell proved that he was the right guy to help this team take a leap forward.
He even had a 71-point explosion, tied for the highest-scoring performance of the season.
That’s why it wasn’t much of a surprise to see former NBA player Kendrick Perkins praising Spida, stating that he’s must-watch television after watching him play live for the first time ever.
The Celtics look damn good last night. Tatum took complete control of that game all across the board! That was my first time ever watching @spidadmitchell up close in person and I must say that young man is SPECIAL!!!! When we talk about MUST SEE TV he’s exactly THAT. Carry on…

Mitchell is one of the most unstoppable scorers in the league and one that usually takes his game up a notch in the postseason.
While not a solid defender, he’s also made great strides in that regard this season, taking pride in getting stops and working his heart off on both ends of the floor.
The Cavs are an up-and-coming team that will continue to be a force in the Eastern Conference for years to come.
Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley make up for an elite defensive duo, and their explosive backcourt can help them outscore all teams any given night, so let’s keep an eye on this team as we approach the playoffs.
