The Minnesota Vikings, much to the surprise of analysts and most of their fans, had one of the best records in the regular season in 2024.
Their projected win total was somewhere in the six to eight range, but they ended up winning 14 games.
It wasn’t enough to overtake the Detroit Lions for the top spot in the NFC North, and falling in the first round of the playoffs was a sour way to end their season.
The Vikings are gearing up to improve on the unfortunate end to their 2024 campaign, adding several new pieces to their roster.
One piece that has thankfully stayed the same is Justin Jefferson, who has been one of the best receivers in football since he was drafted.
Jefferson has not only taken the league by storm, but he’s encroaching on some important records as well.
As the VikingzFanPage pointed out on X, Jefferson is less than 1,900 receiving yards away from catching Randy Moss as the all-time leader in franchise history.
Justin Jefferson needs 1,885 receiving yards to pass Randy Moss for the most receiving yards in #Vikings history. Will he surpass Randy this season?

He would need a career year to make that happen, as his best season was 1,809 yards, but if anyone is up to the task, it’s Jefferson.
The sixth-year wideout has figured it out with several different quarterbacks throughout his career, and he’ll face a new challenge with J.J. McCarthy taking the reins for the first time.
Their connection will need to be strong from the jump if Jefferson wants to overtake Moss in 2025, and fans are itching to see what this pair can come up with.
