The Los Angeles Chargers will be settled at quarterback for a long time with Justin Herbert.
After winning Offensive Rookie of the Year honors in 2020, the former Oregon standout elevated his game in 2021 by finishing with 5,014 yards, 38 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions.
It will only be a matter of time before he will have his first taste of NFL postseason action.
But based on his first two seasons, DraftKings Sportsbook assigned him favorable betting odds to potentially win the 2022 NFL Most Valuable Player Award.

PFF shared that Herbert, regarded as a “1 of 1” by his head coach Brandon Staley, received early betting odds of +1000 for NFL MVP.
He is fourth on the list behind Josh Allen (+700), Patrick Mahomes (+750), and reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers (+800).
With Herbert trending up, this bet might land, if only the Chargers could protect him well.
After all, he has absorbed 63 sacks in two seasons.
Likewise, having a better win-loss record will earn him more votes for MVP.
It would be impossible for that to happen if their defense remains inconsistent.
The Rest Of The MVP Betting Odds Field
Going down the list, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is at +1200 while Dak Prescott is +1400.
Matthew Stafford, fresh off the Super Bowl LVI victory with the Los Angeles Rams, is at +1600.
Kyler Murray of the Arizona Cardinals received +1800 while Russell Wilson is at +2000.
Completing the top ten is former league MVP Lamar Jackson at +2800.
Derrick Henry is the highest non-quarterback on the list with betting odds of +4000.
Next to him is reigning Super Bowl MVP and Offensive Player of the Year Cooper Kupp at +5000.
Sandwiched between Jackson and Henry are Deshaun Watson (+3500), Jalen Hurts (+4000), and Derek Carr (+4000).
Kirk Cousins, Jonathan Taylor, Deebo Samuel, and Trey Lance all have the same odds as Kupp.
