This is the day NFL insiders will have difficulty discerning truth from myth.
Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku already victimized the likes of NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Pro Football Focus’ Ari Meirov when he “asked” his agent for a trade.
A few minutes later, he revealed that to be an April Fools’ Day prank.
Those who follow the Browns would know that Njoku is in an excellent spot because he will now have Deshaun Watson facilitating their offense.
Likewise, he will get one-on-one coverage because Amari Cooper may attract two defenders.
He’s also the top tight end in their depth chart after Austin Hooper joined the Tennessee Titans.
But seeing the joy in what Njoku pulled off, wide receiver Julian Edelman decided to join in the fun.

In this era of fake news and misinformation, people might take that information as is.
However, it takes some research to know that this post is another product of April Fools’ Day.
First, Edelman retired before the 2021 season and wasn’t even close to returning.
Second, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a surplus of wide receivers that they need to cut players.
Third, it’s hard to see Edelman accepting the role of a second-stringer.
If he joined the Buccaneers, that would be the case because they have Russell Gage, Chris Godwin, and Mike Evans as their top receivers.
Edelman Has Done Everything He Could On The Field
The seventh-round draft pick could lend his wisdom as a receivers coach somewhere.
But as a player, it would be better for him to stay retired.
There’s a lot of young talent in the league that could fill his spot.
Likewise, he has nothing left to prove after three Super Bowl titles and one Super Bowl MVP.
If he already failed a physical, there’s no indication that he would pass after being away from the game for two seasons.
