It’s safe to say that Josh Naylor was prepared to hear it from New York Yankees fans after his baby rocking motion towards Gerrit Cole after his home run in Game 4 of the ALDS.
The Cleveland Guardians season has officially reached its end, and Naylor was unable to catch a break from Yankees fans who were waiting to shower him with jeers and boos.
But Naylor didn’t seem to have any problem with it.
In fact, after the Guardians’ season-ending loss in the Bronx, Naylor commented on how exciting it was for him to play at Yankee Stadium with the stakes being so high, referring to the situation as a “dream come true.”
Josh Naylor was a good sport re: his Yankee Stadium reception:
"That was so sick. That was honestly like a dream come true as a kid; playing in an environment like this where they've got diehard fans, it's cool … The fact I got that going thru the whole stadium, that was sick"

“Who’s Your Daddy?”
Of course, Naylor had to expect some backlash from Yankee fans after mocking Cole, but instead of getting frustrated about it, he took the high road.
He got a chance to bask in the glory of it all.
Some players feed off of being booed in certain places.
A perfect example of that would be Yadier Molina whenever he came to the plate at Great American Ballpark or Citi Field.
Naylor seemed to be just fine with Yankee fans giving him an earful after his move in Game 4.
While the Yankees got the last laugh, Naylor at least seemed to appreciate the opportunity to play on the road in a hostile environment with the stakes high.
He got to be the center of attention with almost all of New York booing him and jeering at him.
Some fans even went as far as to do the baby rocking motion as he was returning to the dugout.
But it didn’t bother Naylor.
