The Green Bay Packers need to establish the run.
Jordan Love is playing the best football of his career, but the running game will always be a quarterback’s best friend.
Also, with the projections for Josh Jacobs, the team will be wise to feed him early and often.
As pointed out by fan account PCK3RS on X, the former Las Vegas Raiders running back is currently on pace to log 340 carries for a whopping 1,131 rushing yards and 17 rushing touchdowns.
Josh Jacobs is projected to go for this season…

That’s without even counting his stats as a pass-catcher, as he’s also a big factor as an escape valve in obvious passing situations.
Of course, we have to take these numbers with a grain of salt as well.
Projections are only that: Projections, and the sample size isn’t big enough, so there are a few outliers there.
Jacobs hadn’t logged big numbers in the first three weeks of the season.
It wasn’t on him, as he was playing behind a banged-up offensive line and, at times, against absolutely elite defenses.
Also, the bulk of his scoring production came in Week 4 in the tie to the Dallas Cowboys, a team with one of the absolute worst run defenses in the game.
Then again, it’s also worth noting that Jacobs should do better as the season goes by, especially if the offensive line is healthy.
And regardless of his actual end-of-season numbers, the team has to get him more involved in the offense to put Jordan Love in a position to succeed.
