The Milwaukee Brewers have been displaying their excellent pitching for a few years now.
It was the team’s calling card last year when they won the NL Central division, and it’s their best unit, once again, in 2022.
Their rotation is incredibly good and deep: even with Freddy Peralta and Brandon Woodruff injured, they have reigning NL Cy Young Corbin Burnes, budding stars Aaron Ashby and Eric Lauer, and the serviceable Adrian Houser, not to mention great Triple-A prospect Ethan Small.
But the back of their bullpen may be the best in the league, with Josh Hader protecting leads like no other pitcher.
He has been dominating for a long time, but what he’s done over his last 40 games is nothing short of impressive.
“One away from history! Josh Hader ties the MLB record with his 40th consecutive scoreless appearance,” Bally Sports Wisconsin tweeted.

Most relief pitchers would be happy with a ten-game scoreless streak.
An Incredible, Unreal Run Of Excellence
Imagine going to the mound in 40 straight games without allowing a single run.
That’s preposterous.
He is just too good for the league.
Obviously, Hader’s ERA is at 0.00 for the season.
He has pitched 19 games in 2022, and hasn’t allowed a single run.
The same happened with the last 21 games he pitched in 2021.
If his next appearance is also scoreless, the left-hander will establish a new MLB record.
In 17.2 innings this year, Hader has 1.2 Wins Above Replacement (WAR), third on the team, and has struck out a whopping 43.8 percent of the batters he has faced.
He has been unreal, and represents a huge weapon for the 33-23 Brewers as they try to take the division title once again.
