Freddy Peralta is one of the top young pitchers in all of baseball.
He’s off to a good start in 2022, having gone 3-1 in seven starts with a 3.53 ERA.
He got the start in last night’s game against the Atlanta Braves and pitched pretty well.
He was dominant over seven scoreless innings, walking just two and striking out 10.
The 10 strikeouts on the night brought him to 500 for his career, a milestone which the Brewers congratulated him for on Twitter after the game.
10 Ks and a milestone.

A Major Milestone
What a night for Peralta!
Keep in mind, Peralta is only 25 years old.
He’s only been up since 2018.
He hasn’t been at this for too long, yet he’s already one of the top three starters in the Brewers’ rotation.
500 strikeouts is a huge milestone for any pitcher, but for him to do it at just 25 is impressive.
You can’t help but feel good for him.
He’s a young pitcher with a ton of upside and great stuff.
He had a career night last night.
10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings is something he’ll remember for the rest of his life, especially since it brought him to 500 career strikeouts.
He may be overshadowed by Burnes and Woodruff, but Peralta is just as deadly in that loaded Milwaukee rotation and is a force to be reckoned with.
He’s one of the main reasons the Brewers are in first place in the NL Central and if he keeps pitching like this, nobody is going to want to face the Brewers when it comes time for the postseason.
