Some people thought the Buffalo Bills were primed to knock off the two-time defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game.
But even though they were very competitive, the Bills fell to Patrick Mahomes again, making it the latest heartbreaking loss for a franchise that has suffered many of them.
There are surely members of Bills Mafia who feel the team will never find a way to win that elusive Super Bowl championship, but quarterback Josh Allen has faith that head coach Sean McDermott can help Buffalo win a title.

With Allen blossoming into a superstar, Buffalo has won five straight AFC East titles and been to the conference championship game twice.
Yet, this is now the fourth time in the past five seasons they have lost to Mahomes’ team in the playoffs.
This time, the Bills fell behind but rallied in the second half to take the lead, but two failed two-point conversions limited their lead to one point.
The game may have come down to a key fourth down early in the fourth quarter when Allen dove over the pile but was ruled to be just short of a first down.
Some replays seemed to indicate he had crossed the first-down marker, but an official review resulted in the Chiefs getting the football.
Kansas City then got a rushing touchdown from Mahomes, his second of the game, and it hung on to advance to its third straight Super Bowl appearance.
