Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has Patrick Mahomes as his nemesis.
In 2020, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Bills in the AFC Championship Game.
Last season, the Chiefs did it again in a thrilling Divisional Round matchup.
Allen was lights out at Arrowhead Stadium and even gave Buffalo the lead with 13 seconds left thanks to a touchdown pass to Gabriel Davis.
Unfortunately, Mahomes happened, forcing the game to overtime.
The Bills lost after Travis Kelce caught the walk-off touchdown, giving Allen no chance to respond.
Yet even if Mahomes has Allen’s number so far, the Bills quarterback edges his rival in one statistic.
Best postseason QB Rating in NFL history
(min. 200 attempts)Josh Allen 106.6
Patrick Mahomes 105.7
Bart Starr 104.8
Kurt Warner 102.8 pic.twitter.com/5LRVe93War— NFL on CBS 🏈 (@NFLonCBS) June 5, 2022
The NFL on CBS Twitter account shared that Allen has the best postseason quarterback rating in NFL history at 106.6.
Mahomes is at second with 105.7, while Green Bay Packers legend Bart Starr is at third with 104.8.
Kurt Warner completes the list at 102.8.
The list was compiled among play-callers who have had a minimum of 200 attempts during the playoffs.
While it’s good that Allen is better than Mahomes at something, the Chiefs quarterback has the hardware to prove his excellence.
Mahomes has been a league MVP, Super Bowl MVP, and a world champion.
Meanwhile, Allen is trying to achieve what the former Texas Tech standout already has.
Could 2022 Be Buffalo’s Year?
The Bills have a great opportunity to win the AFC this season.
Mahomes and the Chiefs might struggle in Tyreek Hill and Tyrann Mathieu‘s absence.
Therefore, Allen should not waste this opportunity to finally get past the team that tormented him for two seasons.
Aside from Davis, he will have Stefon Diggs and Jamison Crowder as targets in the passing game.
Meanwhile, the defense got an upgrade in linebacker Von Miller.
If they fire from all cylinders, the Bills will stampede through the opposition.
