Now might be a good time for fans of the Golden State Warriors to be reminded of how well Jordan Poole has been playing.
Poole’s name is in the headlines right now because of a major choke job on Wednesday night, a move that quite literally cost the Warriors a win against the Utah Jazz.
The young player is surely kicking himself for the screw-up he made.
Jordan Poole as a Starter this season:
27.4 PPG
2.3 RPG
4.6 APG
1.3 SPG
48 FG%
63 TS%
92 FT%

But despite that, Poole is still having a fantastic season.
Poole has averaged 27.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 1.3 steals on 48% from the field as a starter this season.
He has a plus-minus rating of +29 so far this year, which shows just how much he brings to his team.
A few months ago, Poole earned a hefty paycheck from his team and he is showing that he deserves it, even with the misstep he made on Wednesday.
Jordan Getting Jumbled By The Jazz
The final few seconds of the Jazz-Warriors game are surely playing again and again in Poole’s head right now.
His team was up by 1 point with just 6.9 seconds left.
Instead of just receiving the inbound pass and literally letting the clock run out, Poole dropped the ball and allowed the Jazz to steal it, make their way up the court, and secure a win.
Obviously, this loss wasn’t solely Poole’s fault and if the team had played better things wouldn’t have been so close at the end.
Still, Poole is regretting it.
But he should look on the bright side: he has flourished as a starter for the reigning champions and has earned every penny of his major salary.
One bad play doesn’t change the fact that Poole is repeatedly playing well.
