Last night, Cincinnati Reds second baseman and slugger Jonathan India accomplished something major.
The reigning National League Rookie of the Year hit his first career grand slam last night against the Miami Marlins, as the Reds rolled to an 11-2 victory.
However, a certain fan caught the home run ball, and instead of returning it to India, the fan left the ballpark with the ball.
On Twitter, India made a proposal to that fan for a trade.
He didn’t say what he would trade, but it appears that he really wants that home run ball and would be happy to make an exchange.
To the fan who caught my first career grand slam last night, would love to make a trade for the ball…🙏🏼

India Offers A Trade
Clearly, this home run ball means a lot to India, and you can’t blame him for that.
Who wouldn’t want to keep the ball after hitting their first career grand slam?
India is a rising star in baseball today and is a key piece of the Reds future.
After winning the NL Rookie of the Year Award last season, more great moments and accolades are sure to come.
The grand slam ball probably also means a little bit extra, given that India is going through a bit of a sophomore slump, hitting just .240 on the season and dealing with a few nagging injuries.
Hopefully, the fan who has the ball will agree to India’s terms and give him the baseball back, maybe in exchange for some photos with the Reds star, or even a signed baseball, jersey, or bat.
It would certainly be worth it for that fan to give the ball back, especially if he can get something even better for it.
Hopefully, India can get the ball back.
