The Cincinnati Reds have shocked a lot of people this season.
No one thought they would be above .500, let alone in contention for a playoff spot.
Well with less than a month to go in the season the Reds are only a half-game out of the final Wild Card spot.
One reason for the quick turnaround of the Reds has been their young players.
Cincinnati has called up many of their top prospects this year and all of them are producing.
Elly De La Cruz, Matt McLain, Andrew Abbott, and Noelvi Marte, to name a few, are leading the way.
Each has helped turn the fortunes of the franchise around.
Jon Morosi highlighted a few positives for the Reds this season, one being how young their roster is.
Morosi said the Reds have the youngest position player group in the NL.
Also, they are drawing over 7,000 fans more per game this year than last.
