Jon Gruden has given football fans a new level of access to him since signing with Barstool Sports, as he has gone all in on content creation and has revealed plenty of what made him one of the best football minds of his generation.
The passion for the game is still evident anytime he talks ball, and he recently joked about his time coaching Antonio Brown and how excited he was when he got to coach him, albeit for a very brief time.
Gruden recently appeared in a new episode of Inside The Fired Football Coaches Association where he broke down film alongside some prospects, and he told a story about when he got to coach Antonio Brown “for like three days,” and joked about when he had Brown run a vertical choice route in practice, which impressed him so much he “went home and opened up a bottle of Hennessy and drank the whole thing” before telling his wife they were going to the Super Bowl.
.@BarstoolGruden watched @AB84 run 2 routes in minicamp and immediately went home to celebrate that night.

Brown’s tenure with the Raiders was over before it started, as he had a public blowup in practice and forced his way off the team before ever getting close to appearing in a game.
Gruden’s exit wasn’t much smoother, but he seems to have found a new home with Barstool and is getting back to what endeared him to fans when he ran his QB Camp during his time at ESPN when he would have big-time quarterback prospects on his show to break down film with them.
Even though Brown left the NFL in such a depressing manner, he was still one of the best receivers to ever do it, and it’s no surprise he made Gruden’s jaw hit the floor during one of the few practices they shared together.
