Cincinnati Reds star first baseman Joey Votto has been very quiet on the internet for the vast majority of his career.

However, as the 38-year-old Votto nears the end of what has been an illustrious career, he has decided to break his internet silence and finally hop on social media for the first time in his life.

The veteran slugger is now on Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram.

Votto made sure yesterday to make his presence known on Twitter.

He did so by tweeting a GIF of NBA legend Vince Carter smack talking at a camera attached below.

Social Media Gains A Legend

Welcome to social media, Mr. Votto.

Votto has always been known for his sense of humor, and it appears that he is taking the opportunity to expand his presence on social media and show that sense of humor.

It’s nice that Votto is now on social media, but he seems to have big plans going forward as he expands his online presence.

It’s anyone’s guess as to what he’ll do with his TikTok account.

That’s probably where most of the exciting stuff will come from.

You can bet he’ll be funny on that platform.

TikTok is a platform where people often tend to goof around and show their lighter side, and Votto is certainly capable of that.

The question is, is the world of social media ready for Votto?

He plans on coming in and taking the social media world by storm.

You might not be ready for this if you’re already on social media, but Votto is coming and is ready to share his lighter side with the rest of the world.
