One of the biggest topics across the NFL this season was the favorable officiating the Kansas City Chiefs seemed to receive and why they received it.
Critics accused the league of being biased toward the Chiefs and trying to manufacture a third straight Super Bowl championship for them, but they ultimately fell in Super Bowl LIX to the Philadelphia Eagles.
In the divisional round of the playoffs, the Chiefs got past the injury-riddled Houston Texans, and running back Joe Mixon and defensive end Will Anderson criticized the officiating after their team lost.
They were fined as a result and later appealed the fine, and a decision on that appeal has been revealed.

Some felt the Texans would be dark horse championship contenders coming into the season, but injuries to wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell ruined their chances of going far in the playoffs.
In the playoff loss to Kansas City, quarterback C.J. Stroud was sacked eight times, and although Houston had 336 total yards of offense to 212 for Kansas City and won the time of possession battle, the Texans were unable to score often enough when they got into Chiefs territory.
Houston had eight accepted penalties totaling 82 yards, while K.C. had four accepted penalties for 29 yards.
Overall, Houston is a young team, and with Anderson, as well as other young stars such as cornerback Derek Stingley Jr., continuing to grow, it should continue to inch closer toward true contender status in 2025.
