Watching Chris Paul in a Golden State Warriors uniform could be a bit of a weird feeling.
He’s starred in so many battles against them throughout the course of the years, and he was far from a fan favorite in the Bay area.
But now that he’s there, everybody around the team has embraced him, knowing how vital he could be to their championship aspirations.
That includes team owner Joe Lacob, who recently talked on Audacy about how Paul has always made his teams better and how he could finally win an NBA championship with the Warriors (via NBA Wire).
"He’s always made other people better. He hasn’t won a championship yet, but maybe he can do that with our group. It would be a hell of a storybook ending to his career or year-ending, if he was able to do it with us."

Paul is one of the greatest pure point guards in basketball history.
He’s no longer the pesky and solid backcourt defender he used to be, and he’s not a 20+ points-per-game scorer, but he can still control the pace and flow of the game like few other players can.
Paul is one of the savviest playmakers and players you’ll see out there, and having him on the court with the second unit could take Steve Kerr’s team to a whole new dimension.
Of course, a lot of that will also depend on whether he’s actually willing to embrace a lesser role and come off the bench for the first time in his career, which is something not many veteran stars are capable of doing.
But judging by what he’s said about joining this organization, it seems like he’s willing to put his ego aside and just do whatever it takes to finally win the NBA championship he deserves.
