After switching starting quarterbacks yet again this season, New York Jets coach Robert Saleh was seen in a press conference this morning, discussing the move.
Although it appeared that Saleh was trying to inspire confidence in newly named starter Zach Wilson, the comments below aren’t exactly the vote of confidence that Jets fans are looking for.
Robert Saleh on Zach Wilson: "He's the same quarterback that once went 18 for 18 in a bowl game."

The game that Saleh is referring to, is the 2018 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.
To Wilson’s credit, he had the game of his life.
While going 18-18, Wilson threw for 317 yards and four touchdowns.
It has been said to be the best bowl game in BYU history.
And, that is probably true.
Incredible stats in a meaningless collegiate bowl game don’t count in the NFL, unfortunately for Wilson.
What Happened To Wilson?
After the 2021 NFL Draft, the Jets were excited.
They had just drafted their quarterback of the future and spent early first-round capital to acquire him (Wilson was taken second overall, after Trevor Lawrence).
With Wilson holding the reins throughout his rookie season, the Jets finished the season with a record of 4-13, which was the worst record in the AFC East.
Unfortunately for Wilson and the Jets, he was never truly able to recapture the magic that he put out in college.
Many Jets fans have pined for the Potato Bowl version of Wilson, but have ended up with something reminiscent of a toilet bowl instead.
Wilson will have yet another chance to redeem himself on Sunday.
