Running back Jerome Bettis was a load to deal with throughout 13 NFL seasons.
After all, he was called “The Bus” because he was difficult to stop once he had the ball.
As a result of his power running style, the former Notre Dame standout had three All-Pro and six Pro Bowl selections.
He also won Super Bowl XL in his hometown of Detroit before walking off into the sunset.
Bettis had 13,662 rushing yards and 91 touchdowns throughout his career.
The player that was unwanted by the Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams went on to build a Hall of Fame stint in the big leagues.
But while he has been successful in football, Bettis completed another achievement by completing his degree.
A promise made, a promise kept. 28 years after leaving @NotreDame, I’ve completed my degree from the Mendoza School of Business. I hope my journey serves as reminder that education is the true equalizer in life and it is never too late to start. pic.twitter.com/J0Xn7Up47n

Bettis skipped his senior year for the Fighting Irish to enter the 1993 NFL Draft.
He was selected by the Rams with the tenth overall selection of the draft but was traded to Pittsburgh after three seasons.
Bettis Conquers Another Field
He did it all throughout his NFL career.
But for now, all of his efforts bore fruit after completing his business degree.
He will serve as a good example for those who might have given up their dreams.
The knowledge he acquired will also help him start his own multi-million dollar business.
“The Bus” may have ended his playing career, but his road trip to business success has just started.
While he wears several hats, Bettis still never forgets to help the current Steelers players.
