The little bus is on the move.
Son of NFL Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis, Jerome Bettis Jr., is a three-star wide receiver recruit out of Georgia and has made an unsurprising announcement regarding his college future.
Bettis Jr. has announced on X via a heartfelt video collage that he is following in his father’s footsteps and will be attending Notre Dame in 2025.

Bettis Jr. is a 6’3″, 185-pound wide receiver who put up 30 catches for 369 yards and four touchdowns as a junior and scouts say he is a long-armed receiver with impressive strength and good hands.
He also put up 34 tackles and a pair of interceptions while playing safety.
Scouts also say he lacks the necessary speed and athleticism to make him a four or five-star recruit, although he has looked strong this offseason and appears to be improving en route to a big senior season.
Bettis Jr. is the third wide receiver in the 2025 class to commit to Notre Dame, joining Elijah Burress out of New Jersey and Shaun Terry from Ohio.
In his video on X, the receiver noted how important it was to carve out his own lane and step out of his father’s shadow.
He’ll look to do that as a much different player than his father, who ran for 13,662 yards and 91 touchdowns in his historic NFL career with the Rams and Steelers.
Bettis Jr. had an impressive list of schools competing for his services, including Missouri, Texas A&M, Purdue, Ole Miss, NC State, Kansas, Arkansas, Louisville, Boston College, UCF, Georgia Tech, California, and Duke.
