Things were bad for the Utah Jazz last season, but they could get even worse in the year ahead.
Predictions are bleak for the team.
In fact, they are historically bad.
The Jazz are projected to win just 18 games in 2025-26, which is the lowest projected win total since the 2014-15 “Process” Philadelphia 76ers.
Fans were already expecting a tough situation, but this proves that it’ll be downright abysmal.
The Jazz are projected to win 18 games this season.
Lowest projected win total since the 2014-15 "Process" Sixers (16), per @SOHistory.

The Jazz went 17-65 last season, although they weren’t projected to do that poorly.
Since this projection is even worse, there is a good chance the Jazz will come in under 18 wins, which would be truly heartbreaking but maybe not shocking.
It’s not like anyone is expecting great things from Utah, at least not for a few years.
They have youth and talent, but it’ll be a while before it develops into anything.
And there is always a chance that they trade away all that youth for a more established player, so the future really is up in the air for the Jazz.
Lauri Markkanen will once again lead the team, along with Jusuf Nurkic, Walker Kessler, Keyonte George, and others chipping in.
Sometimes, bad teams are fun, even if they aren’t winning a lot.
But this team hasn’t been fun in a very long time, and fans want a change.
It probably won’t come this year, but the Jazz could be cooking up ideas to improve soon.
They showed openness to making changes this summer and traded away some of their most important players.
That means the door could be open for more adjustments, although they may ride it out all the way until next summer.
Expectations for this team are low, but they should be lowered even more before the 2025-26 season starts.
