Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics knows how important the upcoming season is and he’s getting prepared for it.
The Celtics posted a video of Tatum in the gym, lifting an awful lot of weight, with the caption, “bulking szn.”
Will Tatum’s bulking season lead to a winning season for Boston?

Tatum had perhaps his best year in 2022-23.
He averaged 30.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 4.6 assists and was the definitive team leader for the Celtics.
Still, that wasn’t enough for Boston as they weren’t able to reach the NBA Finals again and fell to the Miami Heat in an intense, marathon Eastern Conference Finals.
Tatum knows that he is the biggest star on the team and he knows that he is the lynchpin at the center of their plans.
Therefore, he is trying to make himself even stronger before the new season starts.
The Celtics have been great recently but they haven’t been able to convert their greatness into the sort of postseason success they desire.
Some people are wondering what will happen if they don’t go all the way in 2023-24.
If they again fail to win the Finals, will major changes be on the horizon?
The Celtics wish to have Tatum as the leader of the team for the foreseeable future.
But would the front office shake up the roster around him if the new season doesn’t go their way?
Tatum has always been a talented shooter but his time in the gym might make him more intimidating and more physically commanding in the upcoming year.
Is that key to another Larry O’Brien trophy?
