Jayson Tatum is the best player on the Boston Celtics, and as such, he’s going to be held to a certain standard.
That’s they the media was ruthless to him during his recent slump, questioning him and calling him out for not playing up to his level.
Needless to say, that didn’t sit well with him, and he kept receipts of everything they said.
So, when asked about how he managed to get out of his slump, he didn’t hesitate to take a shot at the media for their criticism.
How does Jayson Tatum get himself out of a slump?

Tatum had been struggling without Jaylen Brown by his side, mostly because defenses could now focus solely on him on nearly every single possession.
But he’s just too good of a player not to shake those woes off, and he proved it by torching the Cleveland Cavaliers for 41 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, and four three-pointers on 61.9% from the floor to lead his team to a huge 117-113 win against a tough rival.
Tatum sure knows one thing or two about shutting down all the outside noise.
Just over a year ago, beat writers and fans urged the Celtics to break the duo up and trade Jaylen Brown away, citing that they couldn’t win together and that they had already reached their peak as a duo.
They responded by being the most dominant team in the final stretch of the NBA season and a trip to the NBA Finals.
Good players will always find a way to get out of slumps; it’s just a matter of time.
