Just last week, Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics was the talk of the NBA as he earned his first All-Star MVP trophy after dominating and setting records at the widely-watched annual event.
While Tatum is still one of the best stars in the league and remains in conversation for winning this season’s Most Valuable Player, his output has diminished a bit since the big game.
It hasn't been all that easy for Jayson Tatum lately. 😅 pic.twitter.com/2xLvfNY8T8

As noted by theScore Bet on Twitter, Tatum has had a minor rough patch during his last three games.
He has a 36% field goal percentage and has gone 24% from the three-point line.
While those stats are better than many other athletes in the league, you have to compare them to his season averages: 46% from the field and 35.1% from downtown.
While it is just a little dip for Tatum, it couldn’t come at a worse time.
The Celtics are currently battling it out with the Milwaukee Bucks for the top spot in the Eastern Conference standings.
They have a 44-18 record, while the Bucks are 43-17.
They need Tatum to keep playing like the All-Star champ he is.
He had a rough night on Monday, earning his first ejection from a game after chirping at the refs during a loss to the New York Knicks.
Before that ejection, he was performing inconsistently.
Despite that, Tatum is still the best player on his team and the Celtics are looking like true contenders.
It wouldn’t be shocking to see him and his team go all the way to the NBA Finals again.
Even during this recent rough patch, Tatum is still playing terrific basketball and there is no doubt he can bounce back in no time.
