Jaylen Brown had a statement game against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday, leading his team in points during their monster win.
Brown ended the game with 29 points and had earned 19 in the first quarter alone.
Following the game, the Boston Celtics superstar said that the Warriors’ defense of him was “disrespectful.”
“If you want to dare me to shoot, we can do that too. I thought it was a little disrespectful,” Brown said via Noa Dalzell, via Legion Hoops.

The Warriors seemed to be toying with Brown and daring him to take shots.
It seemed as if they didn’t have belief in Brown and didn’t think he was capable of scoring.
In the end, they couldn’t have been more incorrect and Brown was the biggest scorer for the Celtics, shooting 11-of-19 from the floor.
Brown said that he didn’t take things personally but he certainly had an even bigger reason to shoot well because of the Warriors’ strategy around him.
It was just the latest great game from the three-time All-Star, who is averaging 22.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game this year.
In the summer, Brown signed a massive new contract with the Celtics and some fans wondered if he was worth it.
This year, he is proving that he is, and, unsurprisingly, the team is doing better than it has in years.
Brown’s field goal percentage and three-point shooting have inched up in 2023-24 and he has remained consistent throughout the season, even though his overall point total has dipped a little bit.
The Celtics won by 52 points on Sunday for a number of reasons but Brown was the biggest one.
The Warriors made a huge mistake when they made him feel disrespected.
