It’s not easy for any team to win by more than fifty points but the Boston Celtics have now done that three times during the 2023-24 NBA season.
On Sunday night, they positively dismantled the Golden State Warriors, beating that team 140-88 in a jaw-dropping performance.
As ClutchPoints noted, this was the third time the Celtics have won by 50+ points.
They did it on Sunday against the Warriors and also beat the Indiana Pacers before by 51, and the Brooklyn Nets by 50.
Boston is now the first team in NBA history to win three games by 50+ points in a single season.

The Celtics may have been the odds-on favorites to win on Sunday but few people expected them to win by 52 points.
They were led by Jaylen Brown, who posted 29 points.
Jayson Tatum scored 27 points, Payton Pritchard scored 19, and Derrick White scored 14.
The entire team got involved and absolutely embarrassed the Warriors, who suffered their most painful loss in ages.
The Celtics were already the best team in the league coming into Sunday’s game but this definitive performance, along with the other 50+ plus games this year, reminds fans that they really are the team to beat.
They now have a 48-12 record and many people believe that they will be making their way back to the NBA Finals.
In fact, if they come up short and don’t get that far then some fans will be disappointed.
The Celtics have won 11 games in a row now and have some tough competition in the days ahead.
This week, they will face the Cleveland Cavaliers, Denver Nuggets, and Phoenix Suns.
Is there any chance that another 50+ victory is right around the corner?
